Today I noticed a new stretch goal about flashrom support (kinda late in
the game), it seems pretty important to have this so I think that the
stretch goal funding should be extended.
I had assumed that the BMC firmware would be stored in and loaded from
the main coreboot flash image, or that there would be a shim loader
installable on the bmc firmware module that would (as the BMC has DMA)
load the firmware from memory for easy updating.
The requiring of the firmware module may be a …

because apparently there are two different SKU's from asus one of which
didn't ship with it and no retailers sell it separately.
Also, If the stretch goal doesn't get funded is it possible to perform a
"clean" flash with a test clip?

Dear coreboot folks,
Looking through the commits, I saw a syntax to reference bug reports, I
hadn’t noticed before.

Looking through the commits, it looks like it goes back until even 2015
[1].
How can these be accessed?
Could Gerrit be adapted to mark these strings up as links?
Thanks,
Paul

I am pleased to announce that the base OpenBMC port for the KGPE-D16 has
met is pledge goal! I'd like to say thank you to all that contributed,
and also note that there are currently three stretch goals that are open
for funding until March …

Martin is in the process of collecting the pledges now, and we will
start work on the OpenBMC port when collection is completed. A status
page for this work, complete with updates, will be made available shortly.
Thanks!

Please try the latest Linux kernel version [1] – currently 4.10.1 – to
rule out any problems in that regard. Please post the logs from that
Linux kernel.
Thanks,
Paul
