*Dear Coreboot Support Team,*
I hope this email finds you well. My name is [Your Name], and I am
currently working as a BIOS developer. I am reaching out to seek assistance
regarding an issue I have encountered while working with Coreboot on an MSI
PRO Z790-P WiFi DDR4 motherboard.
*Issue Description:*
I successfully updated the ROM on the aforementioned motherboard using
Coreboot. After flashing the ROM and powering on the system, the
motherboard appears to be functioning—fans are spinning, and the board is
receiving power—but there is no display output on the monitor.
The motherboard has two display outputs: one DisplayPort and one HDMI.
Since I do not have a suitable connector for the DisplayPort, I am using
the HDMI output for display. Unfortunately, there is no signal on the
monitor, and I am unsure whether this is related to the HDMI output,
Coreboot configuration, or another issue.
*Steps Taken:*
- Confirmed the motherboard powers on correctly (fan is spinning).
- Verified the HDMI cable and monitor are functional by testing with
another system.
- Double-checked the ROM update process to ensure there were no errors.
*Request for Assistance:*
Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue or suggest
any troubleshooting steps that I might have overlooked? Any advice or
support would be greatly appreciated, as I aim to ensure proper
functionality with Coreboot on this specific hardware.
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. I look forward to your
response.
*Best regards,William*
