In the cmos_util if it can not find linuxbios table from (0--4k) , it will find that from (960k to 1M). Please suggest where we should preserve second copy of linuxbios table. Ron, I have verfied that if I disable the XIP... in old config tool, the image produced will make the option table not accessiable after reboot too. Ron, It seems I can not enable XIP_ROM_SIZE and XIP_ROM_BASE. Ron, After swap _ROMBASE etc to after ROM_SECTION_SIZE and ROM_SECTION_OFFSET. I can switch to the normal mode. Only need one cat command to do that. Eric, It seems the image that built with can not switch to Normal booting. 1. In Fallback mode, after power on I can use cmos_util. 2. after rebooting it is still in Fallback mode,and can not cmos_util, it said can not find option table in the ram. And can not access cmos.layout. When I using old tool, I can switch to normal mode, but need to change boot_option and last_boot from fallback to normal. regards Yinghai Lu

If it is only addon card, it should work already. Some cases need option rom support are on-board one. For example need to option rom to download FW to the controller and start up the controller. So LinuxBIOS should have some code do the job or have some code to excute option rom that will residue in EEPROM. The first way is more better than second way, and is more fast. But if there is no info or datasheet, it is hard to do that. reducing debugging messages from arima/hdama/auto.c

I hope nobody minds, but since I'm the one who wired these as high, I don't think they will. I want to reduce the debug spew from auto.c to get some timings. I plan to remove my overrides in auto.c so that it goes back to using the level set in Config.lb for debug messages. thanks ron

Hi, Can anyone help with info on VIA CLE266, VT8235, VT6103, VT1616, VT1662, VT6307S, anything would be appreciated .... or have people just used the linux kernel source for their information??? It appears for anyones interest that the EPIA-M10000 with C3 processor has the SST39SF020A flash chip ( revision 70-4C-NH ), which is the PLCC type, which requires Bios Saviour RD1-PL. James.
