Dear LinuxBIOS readers! This is the automated build check service of LinuxBIOS. The developer "stepan" checked in revision 2561 to the LinuxBIOS source repository and caused the following changes: Change Log: This is another fixup round for Yinghai Lu's great patch. It does the ROM_STREAM -> PAYLOAD rename that afaik was done after Yinghai sent his work to legal, so it is required to get that code building. [LinuxBIOS] [PATCH] fix ROM_STREAM -> PAYLOAD for new boards

Hi, this is another fixup round for Yinghai Lu's great patch. It does the ROM_STREAM -> PAYLOAD rename that afaik was done after Yinghai sent his work to legal, so it is required to get that code building. Sorry about that making a mistake just now. I want to do some experiments on mainboard with socket AM2 or Socket F. Can anybody recommend some mainboards which are well supported by LinuxBIOS? Hi, All, I asked a question about AMD mainboard support in LinuxBIOS last weekend. I want to narrow the question as how about the support for tyan 2881 and 2882 in LinuxBIOS? I found there are detailed build guidance on the official website of LinuxBIOS. Does that mean LinuxBIOS supports them very well? And If so, perhaps I would like to do our experiments on either of these two mainboards. Great thanks for any suggestion and advices! Best wishes Ning

[LinuxBIOS] LinuxBios on Asus K8N-DL

First of all I am new to the concept of mailing lists I first heard about LinuxBios at Fosdem 2007 I missed the talk, but i watched the video afterwards I have a Asus K8N-DL mainboard.and i was wondering if I could run LinuxBios on it, its not listed on the wiki, but most parts are it has a Winbond W83627THF-A Super I/O chip which according to the wiki is supported it has a PMC 49FL004T (-33JC) Bios Flash chip which is also supported it has a Nvidia Crush K8-04 Professional Bridge which i also think is supported I have 2 AMD 64 Opteron 248 2,2 Ghz Processors i have a PCI-Express Gainward GeForce6600 GT 128 MB DDR 3 Video Card I have 2x 1 GiB of registered ECC ram installed (for my first cpu, so no NUMA) I use it as a High-End Desktop and i want to get the most out of it. I would like to put LinuxBiosh on it, has anyone tried this ? is it safe for me to experiment if this board has Crashfree BIOS 2 ?

[LinuxBIOS] What would happen if I installed Linux BIOS on my machine?

Hello, my current BIOS is extremely buggy and unstable, regularly freezing at the POST screen, so what would happen if I installed Linux BIOS on my machine? I know the motherboard isn't on the list, but it seems to be close to some of the other ones. Or what would happen if I installed Linux BIOS? Would I be able to backup with awdflh.exe from a floppy if Linux BIOS didn't work? And how far into the Linux BIOS installation can I get without permanently altering the system? Thanks Jonathan
