If you send your questions to the list you'll generally get better answers.
I'm comment out line
option CONFIG_FALLBACK_SIZE = CONFIG_ROM_SIZE
and get a successfull build.
Also i'am turn on debug with level 8 as recommended and make correct setup for FALLBACK_IMAGE_SIZE
But after i'am flash rom image on the chip with hardware programmer and attach my minicom terminal via COM port i can't see anything debug output.
Seems to be the code from IEI pci-isa-lx800 can't properly initialize my SuperIO chip or something else. I have no idea what do next.
I have a motherboard from unknown manufacturer based on the AMD Geode LX 800 and the CS5536 with Winbond W83627HG
The iei/pci-isa-lx800 has a Winbond W83627HF. It looks like the cs5536 has a few board-specific settings.
Suggestions from anyone? I've never played with a geode board.
Thanks, Myles

http://www.winbond-usa.com/products/winbond_products/pdfs/PCIC/W83627HF_HGb.... I guess they share a datasheet, so that's probably not the problem.
Suggestion is to look at the board and tell us what chips it has.
Then, try to see what chip serial is connected to -- 55336 or superio (if it has one)

it was pointed out to me that you already told us this info, but:

we still don't know this. I've seen boards which had a superio and still used 5536 for serial ... weird.

Hi Vladimir,
does the board work with the current BIOS?
In general, it is recommended to use v3 for all GeodeLX targets.
Regards, Carl-Daniel
Yes, this board work with current BIOS. But this BIOS is fully propretary. I can't to log in BIOS Setup. Some strings in the image sign to GENERAL SOFTWARE (www.gensw.com) but their site are closed.
Current BIOS are fully closed. I can post it if someone have a time for this rubbish - do not spend the time on this.
I hope that codebase of coreboot project help me to understand how System BIOS works. But i think my current skills not sufficient.
Myles, Ron, Carl-Danial Big thanks for you time and tips
Keep on rockin! =) I belive in the Coreboot. It's a great project!

Can you boot into Linux to do an lspci, etc? That would be helpful.
lspci -tvnn superiotool -dV flashrom -V
Thanks, Myles
Hello! I just checked your facts, Vladimir, regarding General Software at http://www.gensw.com and indeed that spot is holding a landing page. (That means that the domain is there but no content is available.)
For me this is sad news as I was a great fan of their embedded DOS. However, can you tell us who it is who made the board you are having issues with? This might be a big help.
And of course the usual requests: "Can you boot into Linux to do an lspci, etc? That would be helpful.

I'm check their mail server via DNS records for gensw.com and the result is negative. No mail server registred for this domain. This is realy bad. Seems to be thier company are closed for contacts via email.
Global crysis must be to eat the GENERAL SOFTWARE.
I'm try to boot linux on this motherboard. But currently without any success.
Myles, Ron thanks for ideas and datasheet for WINBOND W83627HG
I'm checked (with Multimeter turned on resistance meter) the circuits beetwen COM1 DB-9 coonnectors and PINS number 53 and 54 (Serial Input & Output for COM/UART A) on the W83627HG. The reuslt is my COM1 is connected to W83627HG: DB-9 pin 2 to W83627HG pin 53 - 9kOm DB-9 pin 3 to W83627HG pin 54 - tester not indicate Resistance, but i'm not shure that must be.
Motherboard doesn't have any PCI slot for POST card.
How do you thinks - it's possible to do something?

Phoenix acquired General Software last year.

interesting, the consolidation continues. Do you think they killed the product or are still reselling it? I am guessing the former.

Phoenix are still selling it. http://www.phoenix.com/en/Embedded/Products/Core+Bios+Products/Embedded+BIOS...

Hello! Yes indeed, I did look at the page.
But I am miffed over the passing of General Software. The fellow who launched it, escaped from Micro$~ft to create a version of DOS that was real-time friendly. And then they buried that product hoping to capitalize on the growing embedded BIOS market... I believe that's what prompted Phoenix to grab them, to rescue the company before it made anymore bad decisions.....
Now Andrew if we could track down a collection of Tadpole VME bus based boards wearing the M68K family of processors......

Now if I could only find a spare VME chasis to put this here TP43M in, I could have a fiddle with it... :)

Sorry guys but that's the wrong Tadpole. AFAIK the VME stuff was by Tadpole Technology which is I believe no longer in existence. I work for what is left of Tadpole Computer.
