Dear coreboot folks,
In #coreboot@irc.libera.chat there is a report, that self-built coreboot won’t work on AMD Chromebooks. The problem seems to be that you need a verstage signed by Google/AMD. Otherwise the GPU driver breaks.
Is that expected/known? If not, does somebody have instructions how to build a coreboot image from upstream coreboot.
Kind regards,
Paul
hi Paul,
This is a known issue for google/zork based (Picasso/Dali SoC) boards. I've raised a bug internally and Martin and I are trying to wrangle someone from the PSP team to get this sorted.
google/kahlee (Stoneyridge) should not have this issue. google/guybrush (Cezanne) I'm not sure, need to check. google/skyrim does not require any verstage (though the blobs in amd_blobs need updating, which I plan to have done before Mendocino Chromebooks are available via retail)
regards, Matt
