I'm afraid I don't have answers for you, but I do have a couple of questions :) Do you boot off SATA? If so, I assume you use Etherboot? Which version? Which version of LB are you running?

I am booting with Etherboot v5.4.1. LinuxBIOS is from November sometime. I think this version is from Yh Lu. He helped with getting it to work. I just tried to build it from the current (r2169) svn, and it doesn't boot:

Yeah, that's what I'm seeing too - 10 to 30 seconds into the boot process. So I guess I'm not alone then.
