I also thought about that and i think you are right. I think all geode GX2 and LX boards should have the same memory region setup.And i think it could well live in chipset code. A while back i tried to use the new LX msr init function but it didn`t compile. (I forgot the exact error.) Could that be ROMCC related? I then adapted it to the patch in r5544 . Maybe someone knows how to change it so that it compiles on GCC and ROMCC.

I extracted that value from the original bios with MSRtool , and it worked. If you have a better setting and / or patch i will be glad to test it.
