Hi all, I have a question, my EPIA board will not shutdown from Linux, it works fine with the original BIOS though.
Is this a configuration problem with LinuxBios or is it perhaps the way the Linux kernel has been compiled.
any pointers gratefully received Ben

what does shutdown mean? Power off? Is it trying to use ACPI?
thanks

Even reboot did not work for me when I had my EPIA-M running.

Ok the kernel is compiled with
Legacy Power management api ACPI support is enabled and also APM bios support is enabled, which I guess is not going to work
I will compile that option out and see if that helps.
thanks
I have to add acpi=force to the kernel boot line in grub menu.lst to enable acpi in my Ubuntu Feisty fawn. Without it my EPIA SP does not shut down.
I have found that other distributions sometimes add acpi automatically.
