Does spd work on the epia / epia-m
Dunno. I've had some good results with coreboot + epia-m before (can't remember anything about spd).

No. Absolutely nothing. If the it8705f 0637-gxs i/o controller were initialised i should have got something on the serial. But no luck whatsoever. Even flashrom does not work.

Which target do you use? Plain svn? Which svn revision? Do you modify the svn code or not? If yes, please post a patch so we can see what exactly you're executing..
Have you verified the serial port works fine with the vendor BIOS and a null-modem cable and another box, e.g. using minicom?
Even flashrom does not work.
That's a totally different and unrelated issue, though.
