we're getting lots of good emails from the help ubuntu post. I am worried we're going to lose those people in the daily traffic.
Would someone or someones be weilling to be our ubuntu contact/ambassador? The goal is to make sure the people contributing feel welcome and continue the dialogue with ubuntu.
thanks

I'll be happy to help with Ubuntu and with anything VIA as a contact.

I've collected seven of these submissions together. I've probably missed some.
Is there a place we can put them all together ? Perhaps an email address or a wiki page.
Where did that script to collect hardware information end up? I spent some time looking for it but failed to turn it up.
I'm happy to do some of this stuff as resources permit.
regards Mark

I don't know, the submissions have been slightly different; is it a script?

I don't think the submissions are from a script but I saw reference to such a thing recently, perhaps on IRC.

Do you mean this message [1]? Take a look at the references.
Thanks,

Please make sure that only people who are actually willing and able to work on coreboot (programming) or at least willing and able to _test_ patches we may provide (on their hardware) post such information.
Not to discourage this effort, but simply dumping a lot of lspci's on the mailing list will not help at all. Somebody has to actually do the work and/or test patches, otherwise the information is useless.
Thanks, Uwe.
