Sorry about that making a mistake just now. I want to do some experiments on mainboard with socket AM2 or Socket F. Can anybody recommend some mainboards which are well supported by LinuxBIOS? Great thanks!

Hi, Ward,
Thanks for your quick reply!
And I haven't such a machine, so I still need make sure about the BIOS flash model of them. I want order the programmer soon. Do you know any information about the BIOS model of tyan 2881 and 2882? I just find the SST 49LF080A from (http://www.linuxbios.org/Tyan_S2881_Build_Tutorial), but it seems not the default one. And from the webpage (http://www.ioss.com.tw/web/English/RD1BIOSSavior/SelectionSheet.html), the 49LF080A suites for the programmer (-/PL4).
Do you have any idea about that? Thanks again for your help!
Best, Ning

I found there are detailed build guidance on the official website of LinuxBIOS. Does that mean LinuxBIOS supports them very well?
Yes, LinuxBIOS works well on those 2 boards. The only things that are missing are:
- acpi support
- fan speed control
But for a server, these are not so important anyway.
Make sure you have a bios savior before you begin :)
Thanks, Ward.
