Hi all,
I got a GPD Pocket with an Atom X7-Z8750 (Cherry Trail).
I would like to use coreboot with it, but there seems to be no support for Cherry Trail, is support for this platform planned/worked on or is this more likely not going to happen?
Thanks, Arne

currently unsupported, AFAIK.

There is support for Braswell (Cherry Trail's professional brother, AFAICT) through an FSP blob. Intel is always absolutely unspecific about which SKUs their blobs support. You could poke somebody at Intel or Google with access to the source code to find out. Although, if the blob supports Cherry Trail, there'd still be work to do in coreboot.
If the Braswell blob doesn't support Cherry Trail, it's very unlikely that anything will happen. To convince Intel to do something on the matter, you'd need a huge business case. Otherwise, somebody would have to reverse engineer the code (unlikely to happen by chance).

It is this the small cool machine I bought with me in Denver and showed around.
Cherry trail seems to have made its way to a lot of cheap laptop and tablets too (BestBuy Insignia 11' tablet)
