That's a KT266 mainboard, which might be familiar with the Chaintech mainboard recently added. You might want to check out the details and see how similar they are.

Yes, depending on which mainboard you're running. And with the recent revelations in VGA support (It works :)), I think LinuxBIOS is well underway for use in the desktop market.
Did you have anything specific in mind? If you're looking for a mainboard, check out the Epia or perhaps the Chaintech 7KJD if you're looking for an Athlon platform.
