The last couple of days it was ~ 70-80°F (21-26°C) and sunny most of the time, but the first half of next week is promising rain and 60°F (17°C).
I recommend shimmie or shirt and better take a bumbershoot and thin jacket for the evenings along.

Some friends of mine who lived in germany for a while tell me the the local ID an american tourist by tennis shoes or sneakers. Those are "gym" shoes to them and only worn in the gym.
I'll probably still wear mine for the day stuff though.

And by technical people in general :-) You will not attract any negative attention with that, no worries.

Please wear the type of clothing you feel comfortable with. We are going to stick together for three days and it is supposed to be interesting, informative, productive, and last but not least, lots of fun.

Now this is a little bit bad news: After not raining a single day last month the weather forecast says it will start raining on Monday and continue for 8 days.
The risk of rain on Saturday 09/30 is 28%
So please do bring an umbrella and/or a rain jacket.
