If I understand the layout of the repository correctly, this should work -> http://www.openbios.org/viewvc/trunk/LinuxBIOSv1/src/mainboard/digitallogic/... . I will have a 440bx-baseed board of my own, some generic gateway model, in a few hours, but it has a sodiered-on pll, anyone know where I can get a socket for this cheap? I'm in Bangor, Maine, if anyone lives around here and knows. Also, thanks for all the info, and I already have a null serial modem cable.

btw, the digitallogic/smartcore-p3 in v1 is a 440-bx based board.
If it is of any help, I could try this on my i440bx board.
Just point me to the tar-ball.
Thanks!

There is not much point in messing with V1, unless you just want to see it boot. It works fine in V1.
The issue is V2. The V1 stuff is just for reference on porting to V2.

So what's V1 missing that only V2 has?
Thanks!

I was only mentioning this board as a reference source.

For reference I think the bitworks/ims is probably better. Fundamentally they are the same but I remember doing a lot of tweaking.
Been a while though so its hazy..
Right, but I figured it might help to know if it worked completely. I meant to mention that it was V1 tho, just forgot. Just got the gateway motherboard, and it's not a plcc, it's another tsop that was hiding behind the video card...i suspected this at first, because afaik, intel makes gateways goods, but I just couldn't find it, so I assumed it was the plcc. I'm currently looking right now at a few different boards on ebay, mainly an ASUS P3B for dirt cheap (~$6 shipped). This really makes me wish I hadn't trashed my old abit bh-6...I'll look at the code more later (I'm still working out how exactly it works, I've never done anything like this before), for now, I'm off to vote and then work.
