Hi,
I have motherboard with chipset (VIA C3 processor). The motherboard has a watchdog timer, 7-Segment LED disply and modeswitch feature. I would like to replace the existing AwardBios by linuxbios as the AwardBios takes around 6-7 seconds for all it's checking. i.e. after 6/7 seconds, I get the lilo prompt. There seems to be now way to reduce this time to 2-3 seconds in Award Bios to the best of my knowledge.
I want to bring it down to 1-2 seconds or less than that. I beleive, linuxbios would help in that matter.
Could anyone please help me in this. Please let me know. I am new in customizing/flashing a bios on a motherboard. Can I get some literature as well apart from the above views. Would the existing linuxbios supported, where can I the latest source for the bios. What would be procedure involved, if I need to do it. Any help on this would be appreciated.
Thanks and Regards Deepak
