Interesting. I had not used fedora for coreboot for a long time. Nobody I know in chromeos does either.

as Ron replied, as we have the coreboot toolchain (`make crossgcc`) it does not really matter. Most coreboot developers I know use Ubuntu, Debian and Gentoo. Some developers even Microsoft Windows for development.
So you can choose any GNU/Linux distribution you like.
