buildtarget via/epia error

Dear lists,
  When I run buildtarget via/epia, there are some
errors:
  build_dir=via/epia/epia
  File "via/epia/epia/config.py", line 543
    self.set |= 2
              ^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax
 My python version is 1.5.2.

Get a python from this millenium ;-)
I think 2.1 or newer works fine.
