Hello, I really need some help here. I have a friend that wrote (with alot of my help) a great Linux userspace program that enables the tv-out on the IP1000 and RM4100. I have been working on getting this code into coreboot. Here lies the problem.... he instists on releasing the Linux userspace program with a GPLv3 licence. Which is great and all but it leaves me in the crapper because I can't use pieces of that code in coreboot. Even though I have his permission to release under it under GPLv2. He seems to think that I won't even need very much of the code in the end, and it may just look completely different when all is said and done. Anyways could I get some help with the questions below? The legal stuff is not my strong point...
Will coreboot accept the code if the small part that you use is licensed to coreboot under whatever license they require while the standalone code remains GPLv3? Will coreboot accept code contributions to the project or any assistance to ensure non-infringement? Please check with the authorities at coreboot and forward their responses to me.
