Hi after a few months of work we (my mentor Mondrian Nuessle and me) managed to get Iwill DK8HTX board running. Porting LinuxBIOS to "DK8HTX" was part of an academic project. Main goal was to get the htx socket running together with our htx fpga board: http://hypertransport.org/products/productdetail.cfm?RecordID=75 Right now we have all on-board devices working. Even xorg shows up. Only exception is native vga-bios. It gets loaded but just a few lines of LB-boot are printed. Anyway at least our HTX adaptor card is working :) We also plan to contribute to the LB-Project by offering a walk through / tutorial that should explain step by step how to get LB running with DK8HTX. thx, for all your help! Do you need PCI bridge etc? Try to disable the PCI bridge on your MB Config.lb. My System seems to running good. My devices are found, onboard vga comes up @ kernel setfont, lans detected and working, amd8132 working etc. The problem is when I plug in a pci-e card on the ck804 external pci-e connector. So magic is default K8_SB_HT_CHAIN_ON_BUS0=0 it will put SB chain on bus 0. Also need one extra entry in irq_table so your HTX card showed on lspci. [LinuxBIOS] Stuff I'm _not_ bringing anymore

I decided to bail on the 220Vac to 110Vac step down converter which drops the 2 devices I had that on had single voltage supplies. The 2.5 HD to USB and the Max Term motherboard. The X ray machines just hate that thing since its a huge chunk of iron that they can't see through. -- Richard A. Smith

Ok for that #VGA Console option CONFIG_CONSOLE_VGA=1 option CONFIG_PCI_ROM_RUN=1 In the config Option.lb i had to define CONFIG_CONSOLE_VGA define CONFIG_PCI_ROM_RUN CONFIG_CONSOLE_VGA=1 CONFIG_PCI_ROM_RUN=1 Sorry for being dum lol I have a flash chip that goes from 00000h to 3FFFFh. I am only using fallback and filo. Starting at address 00000h for 48KB is my VGA bios. It is all FFh until address 20000h. At address 20000h is the start of my filo for 58KB then all FFh to address 30000h where my linuxbios is ? I do have instruction codes at 3FFF0h to 3FFFFh. When I boot no output serial or vga. However, when i compile without VGA and use normal and fallback i get serial output. Can anyone explain those above addresses so I can understand them better. Thanks, Tyler Pohl

Small screwdriver for pulling DIPs Several 20F040b PLCC, Some DIPs I pulled from old motherboards ATX powersupply USB mouse. Small PS/2 keyboard USB -> PS/2 adapter. 500W 220 -> 110V transformer. several cheap not surge protected powerstrips.
