2.4.19 BUG on PIRQ on geode chipsets

I know there are some connected Linux kernel guys on this list. Can one of you get back to the kernel core group and see about fixing the PIRQ bug introduced in 2.4.19 for Geode systems? I can send you the patch again. It would be nice to get this fixed. ron

SMI question (430TX)

I'm looking at mainboard_fixup() provided in the digitallogic/smartcore-p5. In particular, the bit where they're turning off SMI. With my trusty piix4e manual on one desktop and the code in another, I find myself confused. Around line 165 it says it's verifying SMI is disabled. It then goes and sets bit 25 of register 58. On page 126 of the piix4e manual it says that setting bit 25 will turn ON the generation of SMI# when the APMC register is read. Also, what is on I/O port 0xb2? Regards, Andrew

RLX 800i: registered DRAM doesn't work

we just found out that registered DDR is not set up correctly on the RLX 800i. This is FYI. For all of you going to SC 02 we're going to have several linuxbios clusters, so stop on by the LANL booth. ron

jumping to boot code

Well, I have successfully got the kernel loaded and gunzipped off my hda1 partition. LinuxBIOS gets all the ways to the point where it jumps to the kernel(post card shows FE). Unfortunately I don't see any activity after that. I do, however, see my post card displaying an alternating 97 then 98. Any thoughts?

pcm-5823 pirq table and ide

5823 can now get the pirq table with COMPRESS off, but the address of pirq table which detect from Linux kernel, is different from where LinuxBIOS wrote. For example, LinuxBIOS writes pirq table at 0xf0000, but Linux kernel found the table at 0xc00fd9b0. However, Winfast 6300 doesn't have this. Does anyone know how to turn on the second IDE channel on 5823-E0A1? Enabling bit 3 and 4 on 0x5b doesn't do the trick this time. Problem in objcopy

I am looking to setup one system with linuxbios, but some problem happened when I made,the commandline objcopy -O binary -R .note -R .comment -S linuxbios linuxbios.strip linuxbios 59k only, but linuxbios.strip 542k, so when ./mkrom -s 64 -f -o linuxbios.rom linuxbios.strip it said input file too large. mainboard/advantech/pcm-5823/config.example - added options for rtl8139 and eepro100 mainboard/advantech/pcm-5823/mainboard.c - assigning irqs for ethernet ports and added option for rtl8139 and eepro100 southbridge/nsc/cs5530/southbridge.c - usb uses INTC instead of INTA Ron,would you add the eepro portion in mainboard/advantech/pcm-5823/mainboard.c, since I don't have pcm-5823 with eepro board. Hi list, it's some time follow the Mailing list, and i see a linuxbios+etherboot, but i dont see any docs about it, can someone explain me how-to ? i have a acer mainboar based on sis630 chipset with sis900 ethernet on board. Many thanks Other info, there is some info about writing a support for some mainboard that i know only the chipset mounted on like 440TX and other things like that? many Many thanks
