Anyone know of a good way to narrow down what failed when your system starts being flaky?
My machine has started hanging at multiple points during coreboot initialization, and if it makes it through, it hangs in the Linux boot.
It beeps during the VGA ROM run, hangs most frequently at the message "smbus: PCI: 01:02.1[1]->I2C: 02:2d init" sometimes at "02:2e init"
Once it halted after a "No memory" message.
I suspected first that I had a RAM failure, but I've been trying many combinations of RAM installations and haven't found one that works.
Kevin: The "Hardware failure" message may have been just that!
Thanks, Myles
