It switches the cpu fan off on v1 of the board (PLCC) which is not ideal :/ I'm in the process of debugging that, which I hope to to finish on Friday when I'm back at the office.
Then you could have just turned off the 'HAVE_FANCTL' option for the V1 boards... That should revert back to your fan-enable code.
Two problems with that: 1) we don't make a distinction in the coreboot tree between v1 and v2 of the board (that's a good thing that I'd like to keep that way if we can) 2) I tried that, and the tree would not build anymore. I need to debug that too.
Can you use the --extra-dump option (with proprietary bios) for superiotool and share the output with me? (just for curiousity)
