Hi,
some illegal code snippets accidently made it into coreboot.
The code explicitly says:
Copyright 2005 ADVANCED MICRO DEVICES, INC. All Rights Reserved. This software and any related documentation (the "Materials") are the confidential proprietary information of AMD. Unless otherwise provided in a software agreement specifically licensing the Materials, the Materials are provided in confidence and may not be distributed, modified, or reproduced in whole or in part by any means.
That is absolutely clear.
So the code must be removed. Sorry folks. No more ACPI and microcode loading on K8 until someone writes a free version.
Best regards, Stefan Reinauer

Please can you delete only parts which weren't written by me or some other folks which are still contributing?
Thanks, Rudolf

We should make it clear that the code in question was committed by AMD employees 5 years ago who forgot to fix the headers. Technically speaking, since the code with NDA markers was released by the holder of the NDA (AMD), it's not really NDA any more.
But, that said, it's important to be very careful in these situations. We are working with AMD to resolve the problem. As usual, AMD is being very helpful and we hope to have the headers fixed soon.
Thanks
