Alex's message indicates to me, however, that DRAM is still not quite right. Alex, you and Ben should talk to each other about the DRAM you have and the settings you are using.
Sounds good to me.
First off, Ben, I wanted to thank you for coming up with this fix -- It's the first time I've had a successful boot from the LBv2 codebase.
I have a single 256MB high-density (single-sided) DIMM which is PC133.
LB is as far as I can tell configured to use PC100, CL=3.
As far as I know those should be the more conservative settings, and so should work.
I can't figure out how to get memtest going on this board (with both a normal and fallback rom, memtest doesn't fit, with only fallback it doesn't seem to boot properly, not sure why) suggestions are very welcome.
Feel free to contact me via XMPP/jabber/gtalk.

Hi Alex,
I am using 2 x 256Mb 100Mhz DIMMS. Apart from the occasional hang on boot which really bugs me, I don think I have any problems. If my board gets as far a FILO it boots all the way. At least I have no trouble SSH'ing into it once it is up.
I also had the same problem with memtest. Still don't quite get the normal/fallback options. If I ever try to use just one, leaving more room in the flash I can't get it to boot at all. Perhaps I will have another go and maybe track down an older version of memtest which will hopefully be smaller. I will also see if I can get hold of some 133Mhz ram. I think the whole raminit could be tidied up a little bit and it would be good to have the memory to test the board with.
