coreboot interest, can a total notice create a new build?

Hi,

I recently started to delve into the coreboot world. I dont have any 
experience in firmware and i see that my laptop is currently not 
supported. Can i create a coreboot version for my laptop from scratch 
using this guide? https://doc.coreboot.org/tutorial/part1.html? Or is it 
not advised, not worth my time and should i ask a pro who is skilled at 
this?
