Hi.
VMware and bochs provide the capabilities to simply change their system BIOS. In VMware and Bochs you can set a filename for the BIOS that the Emulator/Virtual Machines shall use.

Is there an emulator that we can use for development and testing? Something that i can customise with registers to look like my motherboard?
-- things i hate about my linux pc:
- it takes more than a second to boot up
- keeps asking about filenames and directories
- does not remember what i was working on yesterday
- does not remember all the changes i have ever made
