Dear coreboot readers!
This is the automatic build system of coreboot.
The developer "oxygene" checked in revision 4379 to the coreboot repository. This caused the following changes:
Change Log: This copy of flashrom is old and unmaintained. Delete it to avoid confusion, after we had a grace period to get people to move over to the new repository.
History stays available for the archaeologists and for ancient checkouts (potentially with local changes). Use "svn diff" to get local changes, and apply it to a newer tree (if you manage to apply it, that is).
The new repository is available at: svn://coreboot.org/flashrom/trunk
Signed-off-by: Patrick Georgi patrick.georgi@coresystems.de Acked-by: Stefan Reinauer stepan@coresystems.de
Build Log: Compilation of motorola:sandpointx3_altimus_mpc7410 is still broken See the error log at http://qa.coreboot.org/log_buildbrd.php?revision=4379&device=sandpointx3... Compilation of via:epia-m700 is still broken See the error log at http://qa.coreboot.org/log_buildbrd.php?revision=4379&device=epia-m700&a...
If something broke during this checkin please be a pain in oxygene's neck until the issue is fixed.
If this issue is not fixed within 24h the revision should be backed out.
Best regards, coreboot automatic build system
Hello! If I understand correctly: "Change Log: "This copy of flashrom is old and unmaintained. Delete it to avoid confusion, after we had a grace period to get people to move over to the new repository."
"History stays available for the archaeologists and for ancient checkouts (potentially with local changes). Use "svn diff" to get local changes, and apply it to a newer tree (if you manage to apply it, that is)."
"The new repository is available at: svn://coreboot.org/flashrom/trunk"
This means to me that the flashrom tool on both of the repositories has been discontinued, and moves to that status. And it won't be maintained at all.
And it will probably be removed from the trees at some point as well.
Please correct these statements at your convenience.
I have just completed a retrieval of the new flashrom mechanism. -- Gregg C Levine hansolofalcon@worldnet.att.net "The Force will be with you always." Obi-Wan Kenobi

Hi Gregg,
let me try to explain.

The old flashrom repository at svn://coreboot.org/repos/trunk/util/flashrom is discontinued (and has not been updated in months). Since flashrom is now a standalone project, it is also no longer included in checkouts of the coreboot v2 tree.
The new flashrom repository at svn://coreboot.org/flashrom/trunk is healthy and progresses at an amazing speed.
I hope this clears it up.

Hello! Yes you have. Indeed you have confirmed my assertions regarding how everything has been laid out. What I was looking for was a refutation, obviously not happening, or a confirmation. Which has happened here.
