my opinion is, that in the long term, we want CAR only.
For every target in which CAR can be turned on, it should be turned on and always left on. If you have CAR, you should use it always.

If you are trying to pass data structure from pre-sdram stage to post-sdram stage, CAR is the only option isn't it?
