ECC init on K8 systems

Just out of curiosity, why does the ECC scrubber zero only 2M chunks at 
once? Also, it seems that there's an 84ms built in delay. Is this 
something that can be tweaked to specific hardware? I was hoping that I 
could bring the delay down by using SCRUB_81_9us or bigger chunks or 
something.
