I have looked at the products page, read the faq, and looked at the supported chipsets, but I thought I would pose the question to the list.
Can someone please provide me with a short list of (current / cheap / desktop oriented) motherboards that enjoy full support with linuxbios? you get bonus points and a free spot on my Christmas list if you provide a link to newegg or outpost.com, thanks in advance.

Sorry, there are none. But you are welcome to help us with the task to get at least one modern bard supported. It would certainly be appreciated.

There was recently some discussion with regard to the ASUS A8N-VM CSM, which is a widely available and fairly inexpensive motherboard. That effort seems to be somewhat off the radar at this point, pending something about a check-in to the tree of C51 code, as I recall.
I, for one, look forward to the first widely-available entry-level board since the PC-Chips stuff from V1.

Yeah. I've got one of these sitting on my desk and can do testing, but I'm currently hung up on flashrom (can't write) and the C51 code.
Thanks, Ward.

It would be nice if we could port some of the v1 boards to v2. That would be a start. And that's gonna be a lot easier than adding support for completely new chipsets etc.
Are any of the v1 mainboards widespread desktops?
Uwe.

I'm currently reading the Intel 845GE/PE datasheet, trying to understand all the RAM init stuff. I intend to add support for that chipset, based on the 855PM code. I do have a testboard (ASUS P4PE-X TE) with that northbridge, and the ICH4 as southbridge (which is supported already AFAIK).
The Super I/O is an IT8708F for which I'll post a patch soon.
I guess this chipset should enable us to support quite a number of recent Intel-based boards. Any help with the northbridge is really welcome!
Uwe.
