Ollie,
Should only forward to 8151 only. For the AGP is on 8151.
We found that under normal bios, the AMD8151 is not present. Is there any bits to hide it ?
The under normal bios, you need to use the most update kernel or may be 2.4. 22 to see the 8151.

Ron,
You need to set the REG in some special position. Because ht_scanbus, may reset some regs according to it's scan result.
I think the best to use VGA is
- LinuxBIOS init critical regs to make sure VGA can be used in Linux
kernel. 2. Linux Kernel does the special work to make use some acceleration
function
works. 3. Let X Server no changes.

We have tried everything to forward VGAIO behind 8111 and 8151 bridges but fail. Do you know anything about it ?

It's probably sitting on a peer bus? Maybe it needs an entry in the pirq table, like bus one did? (just guessing)

The under normal bios, you need to use the most update kernel or may be 2.4. 22 to see the 8151.

it's weirder than that. The AGP video card is visible but the bridge to it (8151) is not. So the card works, is accessible, but the bridge is invisible (in normal bios).

this is 2.4.23. The 8151 is totally invisible, under normal bios, and totally visible, under linuxbios. Some trick in the hardware?

We used the same 2.4.23 kernel under normal and linuxbios. The 8151 is not present with lspci when booted with normal bios.
What exactly is the peer bus stuff?
