supported by LINUX ?

I guess you mean LinuxBIOS (Linux != LinuxBIOS).

No, unfortunately it's not yet supported (there's no support for the
VIA K8M890 northbridge). There is work going on on the K8T890 I think,
but I don't know whether those two are compatible...

Are you sure, because on :

I see :
A8N-E 	 AMD K8 	 NVIDIA CK8041 	 ITE IT8712F 	 AMD Athlon™ 64 / 64 FX / 64 X2 	 Socket 939 	 OK *25

* 25 Works fine, only smaller issues remain to be fixed. A list of known issues is available.

My question is :
Can I install Linux with this main board ? ("ASUS socket 939 AMD A8V-VM SE")

A8N-E and A8V-VM SE are two completely different mainboards.

I don't know if you can ;-) but it should be possible to install _Linux_
on there. Go ask your mainboard vendor or Linux distributor for Linux
support.

Hi!

I think it Is supported by Linux, but, some distributions may have a
kernel that may not be compatible. So, you have to check which
distribution can support it. Debian or Ubuntu are almost certainly
compatible.
