Anybody having FUN with random system Freezes with coreboot 4.9?
Experienced some in the Last days on.
my X220
and F2a85m board
both with Debian Buster/ +Cinnamon
best regards
Hi Nekoboi, the Intel-based X220 and AMD-based F2a85m are very different, so I suspect your freezing problem to be directly related to Debian. Switch your distro to something better, Debian really went downhill in the recent years. Maybe something like Void Linux or Artix? Or just MX Linux if you would like a Debian-based distro that actually got more popular than Debian according to Distrowatch - and also doesn't have systemd :)

jaja i dont thing this is the time to discuss distrohopping again ;D
I think the X220 freeze was somehow ... an one time incedent with overloaded Firefox.
It seems like it is an IRQ Problem on F2A85M.
Mostly the system hangs appeared when playing Audio in Any Form.
Also i get these nasty "No irq handler for vector" error on startup.
this is dmesg output:
[ 0.059266] ACPI: INT_SRC_OVR (bus 0 bus_irq 0 global_irq 2 dfl dfl) [ 0.059268] ACPI: INT_SRC_OVR (bus 0 bus_irq 9 global_irq 9 low level) [ 0.174497] Kernel command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-4.19.0-2-amd64 root=/dev/mapper/thanatos--vg-root ro quiet iomem=relaxed irqpoll [ 0.245193] NR_IRQS: 33024, nr_irqs: 456, preallocated irqs: 16 [ 0.034256] do_IRQ: 1.55 No irq handler for vector [ 0.034256] do_IRQ: 2.55 No irq handler for vector [ 0.034256] do_IRQ: 3.55 No irq handler for vector
I am experimenting with an addional PCI soundcard atm and acpi/irq boot options.
Will update on this.
BTW my W520 with Debian Buster is running rock solid.
