Ah, the dreamers.
I have not seen anything redeemable about EFI yet. And you can't boot anything old with it.
Of a long list of things EFI gets wrong, probably the most telling is even Intel cannot write a correct driver.
Much to much of EFI comes out of the backwards compatibility is bad mentality of IA64.
Replacing that something that works with else I expect to be a hard sell.

We need to get linuxbios more widely used or we'll be stuck with that EFI ugliness.
