OTOH, if you insist that every sub-project of LinuxBIOS is a project in itself, we should also have the "GA-M57SLI porting project" etc. Oh, and headlines like "LinuxBIOS is running Windows XP" would have to be changed to "ADLO is running Windows XP".
We have established the LinuxBIOS brand with a lot of work. Calling every single one of our subprojects by its own name is not going to help our public image at all. This situation is similar to the GNU/Linux debate and I don't want LinuxBIOS to be in the GNU "nobody mentions us" situation.

This is not at all like the GNU/Linux debate. If LinuxBIOS had grown out of the superiotool then it might have been, but its the other way around. Its perfectly legitimate for LinuxBIOS to spawn new tools that then go on to have a life of their own outside of this project, and we shouldn't be so vain to slap the LinuxBIOS tag on all of them as if we need to actively seek support. This project in particular has value outside of the project (I suspect the lm-sensors guys would be interested in it), so that alone makes this not a LinuxBIOS tool, but a tool that the LinuxBIOS people created.
And quite frankly, I think people *should* say that ADLO boots Windows XP, not LinuxBIOS, because thats the truth. LinuxBIOS spawns payloads that do all sorts of things great and small. By demanding that LinuxBIOS take the glory of the filos, etherboots and ADLOs of the world is selfish. LinuxBIOS is here to boot hardware. The tools are here to either make LinuxBIOS do what it does better, or help LinuxBIOS accomplish the task. They are independent entities and they should be celebrated as such.

Fair enough.

Very well put. Full ack.
