Hello everyone, I have a kgpe d16 motherboard with coreboot and seabios, and 2 opteron 6282 SE processor with 64 gb of RAM: all the modules are 16 Gb hynix HMT42GR7AFR4C - RD and all are inserted into the orange slots. The problem is, if I add 2 additional modules, inside the last 2 orange slots, the machine doesn't starts and only black screen is shown, no log is detected over COM port. Any suggestion? Maybe another RAM module configuration is needed, because I read that 192 Gb of RAM is possible to obtain (I have followed the official Asus manual for the RAM-Slots configuration)

Hi there Ale, two suggestions: 1) check this thread - https://www.reddit.com/r/coreboot/comments/jdcn5y/latest_coreboot_for_the_as... , you may have to revert a specific commit for a fresher coreboot build 2) try to backport my XMP / custom RAM timings patch to KGPE-D16 related sources and then artificially raise the custom timings, hoping that would make your PC more bootable https://review.coreboot.org/q/topic:%22AMD_XMP%22+(status:open%20OR%20status...)

Please always share the coreboot and payload version.
Anyway, it’s strange that nothing is printed on the serial console.

Please try different slots first. Also, there is a RAM HCL in the old Wiki [1].
All in all, please note, that several problems are know with the coreboot port for this board, and unfortunately there is currently no developer working on fixing these. To my knowledge, there is an offer from 3mdeb on the table to work on it for a certain amount of money [2], but nobody has stepped up to start a fund raising campaign yet. (Judging how money people actually use this board, I would have thought 22,000 € to be a reasonable funding goal.)
