How does the coreboot project want to spend the money we’ve collected? [...] * Request: Test setup on real hardware? - We need a plan on how to implement this. - The amount we’d be willing to spend per month depends on what we get. - We'd be looking at an upfront portion (cost of board + setup fee) then a fee for ongoing maintenance. - How frequently are we looking at having the boards tested? - Every 4 hours / 1 day / every commit? - There’s worry about long-term sustainability of testing. - Just test a few key platforms
BSI has allocated a substantial sum of money (and a boatload of mainboards) for this, but right now the problem is that I need to find someone willing and able to maintain such a solution for us, and this includes visiting the BSI premises (Bonn, Germany) if the problem is not fixable remotely. The testing rig is offline right now since I lack the time to take care of it.
If you know somebody willing and able to take on such a project, please send an email to Carl-Daniel.Hailfinger@bsi.bund.de. Bonus points if this is a solution used and maintained by someone else, i.e. the bus factor should be greater than 1.
