And buildroot and LFS and lots of others too. I'm not knocking any of those, but they are more complex than what I was looking for. My 50-line shell script (attached) builds a cross-compiling gcc (4.2.2) + binutils (2.17) + uClibc (0.9.29) toolchain, nothing more.
What about a reference toolchain everybody can build on his host and use to compile coreboot? I believe we will out of luck to support every toolchain on this planet.
I think it is nicer to have a black list. Hopefully the build succeeds in more instances than it fails. Otherwise we might pick a reference toolchain that turns out to have bugs later.
