yes. I never quite figured out why MTRRs existed, given that every other machine I used did this kind of thing with attributes on pages.
ah well.
Right now I just have an understanding of the problem, but I am not working on it. So please feel free to find a solution that works.
we'll find somebody with the free time and ask them :-)
