Hi,
I am total newbie.
I am interested to build a coreboot for my machine: G31M-S2C
I still use XP SP3 for some of my clients and it has certain limitations ito disks larger than 2TB. I can load the SeaGate drivers, but then I have to do something else when I boot in Linux. So I thought that if I make the bios UEFI I could maybe overcome that boundary.
Secondly I would like to make it possible to move the IDE drives after the SATA in stread of only before. (I am waiting for my museam permit to poses IDE drives.)
So what do you seasoned bios developers think? Am I too ambitious or would it be easy.
I downloaded everything and plan to test the set-up over the weekend. I already have all the data sheets of the parts that are not currently part of the main stream.
How would you seasoned developers suggest I take it further.
Regards,
Louis.
