You're right on about the 4th DIMM socket causing the boot problems here!
However, the this 440BX board is spec'ed to do 1G SDRAM (non-ecc/non-reg).
Attaching a log of recursive successful cold boots using only 3 DIMMS of 256 PC133 double-sided.
Looks like at the boot of the kernel on the SIL add-in PCI SATA hard drive, things really start slowing down. I'm guessing this is where I need to figure-out how to map the IRQ's to avoid conflicts on this board. (ie. create a mainboard profile)
