I would like to start a design based on the new Intel Atom (formerly Menlow) chipset.
For those who don't know what it is, it's a new embedded CPU able to run at 1.7 GHz with only 5W power consumption.
I would like to know if someone in the coreboot community is working on the support for this processor/chipset and what's the development state.
I asked the same question several weeks ago on this mailing list. No one is porting coreboot to the Menlow Platform, but Ron Minnich did say that others (like yourself) may be interested in such a port. Check the mailing list archives for details of the discussion:

You are probably interested in Atom Silverthorne Z5xx series and Poulsbo (US15W SCH) chipset:

Maybe if enough interest is expressed, someone may start a port to the Silverthorne/Poulsbo (Menlow Platform). The Intel reference board for Menlow is Crown Beach.
