It's tricky sometimes, but programming hardware is fun. :)
So I wonder if i can run coreboot on my board. Forgive in case this is the wrong mailinglist.
No problem, this is the only mailing list.
Okay here are the information: It's a GA-P35-DS3R from GYGABYTE, currently running a Intel Q8400 cpu, here the link to the vendor http://www.gigabyte.us/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=2746&am...
Here is the output of lspci output:
-[0000:00]-+-00.0 Intel Corporation 82G33/G31/P35/P31 Express DRAM Controller [8086:29c0] +-1f.0 Intel Corporation 82801IR (ICH9R) LPC Interface Controller [8086:2916]
The G33/G31/P35/P31 chipset isn't supported, no. Please check the Supported boards and Supported chipsets pages on the web.
What's worse, that Intel chipset is most likely so much work to support that it will never be supported unless there is a strong business case to do the work or someone has copious amount of free time along with good hardware knowledge and a passion for reverse engineering.
Sorry to not give a more encouraging response. :\
