At this point I am willing to guarantee it's interrupts. The IRQ
wiring on the pc engines is not quite what AMD would say is normal.

This is the problem I had and never fixed. I am surprised that it is
coming up on the 5536 device, however. Do you have any chance of
getting schematics?
