Please enable DEBUG_PCI and DEBUG_IDE, and rebuild FILO.
It appears that PCI enumeration ordering issues were the root cause of FILO not finding the disks; I'm now able to get the kernel loaded. IRQ issues appear to throw the nv SATA driver off, though, so I'm not all the way there yet. I'll look into this more on Monday.
