I just tried a different CPU, with the exact same behavior as a result.
So that most certainly rules out CPU failures. That leaves a
combination of motherboard, RAM and firmware.

Are there methods to prevent the reset from occuring or hardcode a
certain configuration to prevent training and the time it takes?
