By the way, there's also a homemade SPI flasher which should be way easier to support from flashrom: http://rayer.ic.cz/elektro/spipgm.htm
IIRC Rudolf mentioned it some time ago.
That's really cool for SPI but I am more interested in PLCC32 fwh chips....
