[LinuxBIOS] Xen and LinuxBIOS

All, I'm thinking of buying a GA-M57SLI-S4 mainboard. As AMD-V isn't activated in the BIOS I probably want to use LinuxBIOS. As i want to use virtualisation i would like to know if LinuxBIOS also supports Xen i.e. I use a Xen aware kernel in LinuxBIOS that works. I would like to use LinuxBIOS in combination with OpenSuSE. Dear LinuxBIOS community, after the LinuxBIOS summit in Hamburg, Germany last October, we are looking forward to have a LinuxBIOS summit again this year. We are planning to have the summit at two locations in Switzerland. Biel October 17th-19th(afternoon) and Berne 19th(night)-21st. Topics will roughly cover the development news since last year, the goals for LinuxBIOS in the future and of course having a good time together. [LinuxBIOS] [RFC] Payload selector method

Hi, After playing around with lbmenu, I came up with the following idea to select payloads in a clean way. 1a, linuxbios parses the payload number cmos position, and starts the selected payload or 1b, linuxbios loads a payload (lbmenu), and passes control to it 2, lbmenu parses the lar 3, the user selects which payload to run 4, lbmenu writes the payloads number (position in lar) to a cmos variable and gives back control (point 1a) Imho it is better to have always the 1a, way running, but we have to be sure the cmos contains a valid value. Of course with this method payload selection can be repeated as much times as we want in a single run. -- Alex

Hello All! Now not only a debian users can install it w/o any effords, but Fedora Linux users too. $ sudo yum install flashrom Although this handy tool still in pending state for pushing into Fedora 7 updates testing repository (just formal procedure but it takes some time) users of Fedora Core 6 and Fedora Development may install it as soon as mirrors will be synchronized with main Fedora source.
